Editing Day 1
To start our editing process we all first needed an editing platform. We decided between mobile or PC editing. For the sake of convenience and accessibility we chose mobile editing. With the clips from our film we created an intro where the camera pans over to both Chad and Sabastian playing verses each other on their Nintendo Switch. I added gameplay and different scenes to advertise Nintendo the different types of gameplay each game has to serve. The intro used was the iconic Nintendo switch intro along with the snap effect. As short as the intro may have seem we ended up trimming a piece out to reserve time for the rest of our shots and gameplay clips. We continued to turn gameplay into clips to serve for our representation of Nintendo games in our commercial. Our music selection came from an iconic character known as "Kirby" which is known as one of the main representatives of Nintendo games asides from Super Mario Bros. We had all agreed in selecting this song as we believed the song would be fitting for the game clips included in the video. We strived for a "fun" and "cheery" theme to present our commercial in a way that'd be kid friendly and attract people of all ages (mostly kids and teenagers). The more in depth we became with our editing the more we realized mobile editing was the best way for us to create this considering our flexibility in being able to get our ideas across quicker to each other. Using more simple and basic made it easier for everyone in our group to understand changes made to the commercial. If something needed change Chad would simply tell me to trim this or that. If something was out of order Sabastian would easily tell me what needed to be corrected. The mobile application our group decided on was "Capcut". This programmed allowed me to make good edits to both the gameplay or our shots if needed. The more opinions we had the better we could adjust problems in our commercial. As we're nearing the due date our group making sure the final mp4 of our video is in best quality.
