For this project my group is making a music video for the song Exhibit C by Jay Electronical. The music videos created by Jay Electronical was to inspired people not to steal.


  • In these music videos the actors always wear attire fit to the occasion such as business suits or a butchers outfit while in the workplace. However the outfits always have a trendy style to them that makes a pop culture statement.
  • The music videos often feature props similar to the workplace or items that agree with the title of the video, for example in the payphone music video a payphone is prominently featured as the medium of communication. Other common props include drinks and party games that are used to represent the effects of party culture on relationships.
  • For this music video, this is only showing the sights of the city and not showing any real characters. For our video we decided to mix things up and make it.
  • The music in these videos are always higher tempo songs which is shown in the music videos fast and interruption-less storytelling.

Conventions and Codes

  1. These videos appeal pathologically through the exaggeration yet relatability of their videos. This is most prominently featured in the circumstances of the videos having high budget CGI and unrealistically crazy scenarios while still conveying the relatable message of the desire to be loved.
  2. Music videos created by Jay Electronical always present Jay Electronical as the main character because of his popularity. These music videos manipulate existing clout to garner more attention.
  3. Use models as potential lovers to show that even the most "pretty" undergo the same lust for love.
  4. We were inspired by these videos to make our plot for our music video. The videos we watched all were about a dark storyline, and some dancing. For our video, we decided to go with the dark storyline involving the thievery and capture. We got the idea for this when we pulled out various scenes from the other music videos and combined them together for our music video.

Final Task

 This video took a lot out of my group. There was so much that we had to do and so many problems occured that there was nothing we could do for some of them. Even with all those issues, I honestly think that this is the best video we made yet. Although I can see the plot issues and mistakes we made, this video is the child of our hard work. This may not be the best there is, but I am proud of this video. So I think that to the viewer, instead of watching the video to judge, watch the video to enjoy. So thank you to all who helped us. Thank you group mates who I couldn't have done this without. And thank you, for enjoying the show.

 September 27th          Chad Johnson Our group that consists of Jason, Sebastian, and I will feature the Nintendo Switch and all its features. Now our commercial will start with the iconic nintendo switch intro. This is found on all of nintendo switch's commercial intros. It lasts around 2 seconds so this will not take up any filming time that we need. The next panel is where we look at the nintendo switch game menu. This menu will have to showcase to the viewer what the games you can play. In this scene, we will also be entering a game and showing small gameplay. The third scene will show us playing a game together with the screen. This scene is meant to showcase how everyone can play together at the same time. This scene can also show a game being played and what to do which is promoting both the console and the game. The Final Blog

 In our group consisting of Chad, Jason, and Sebastian, we'd say we did a great job. We have many scenes which has deviated from the original storyboard. The thing is, we created new ideas mid filming, which cause us to make a better commercial than planned. Next we have the filming, with only 2 real shots and the rest being in-game shots. These in-game shots combined with the perfect editing Jason did for each made this video great. The editing had clean transitions, music syncs, and much more than can appeal to all audiences. It almost seemed like a compilation of clips with an actual trailer to back it up. The first clips show Sebastian and Chad sitting next to each other playing their switches. This is the start of the story, as they're both playing around having a good time. The final scenes are with the Nintendo Switch being used, then put away for the day.
