 Filming blog

On Saturday, November 27th all 4 of us went out to film. Everyone came and we made sure to all wear the same clothing except for Sebastian and Ethan because they were not in the scenes we had filmed before. This time we started at scene 4, which was continuing the stalking with me and Jason. This time, we went near Sebastian's house because there were multiple neighborhoods near here which we had to use for jump cutting between different locations. Then we planned to go to a park so we can film scene 5. This scene had me leave my briefcase down on the ground found in the park, and leaving it to attend to something else (sleep), while Jason hides behind a tree staying out of sight. In scene 6, Jason went for the briefcase as you can see I'm throwing away something found in his hand. The shot found here will be a panning shot. We had also taken scene 7 and 8, where I notice my own briefcase getting stolen and I start to run after him. These two scenes we kept messing up but we made it work in the end. All this had taken around 3 hours of filming, because the most difficult part of this was getting to the places because we walked everywhere to the different neighborhoods and parks. For me personally it was getting annoying having to walk everywhere so I tried suggesting closer places but I was outvoted. Another problem we did face was trying to complete this before sunset because we wanted to make this our recording day where there would be no problems found.

Editing blog

After we finished recording, we went to Sebastian's house so we could edit what we got so far. We used Jason's computer for this feat as it had all the other filming we had done the week before. So when we started editing, we immediately started to go through each video we made and started to see if they were good enough. We took multiple scenes so we could go back and look which one looked better to us. Once we found the ones that we liked best, we started cutting them to make them shorter by getting rid of all the other unnecessary parts found within. So once we got our video clips, we put them in the right order of whence we filmed. When we watched what we filmed so far, the whole video looked good, but we needed to make sure that our video had fit into the time frame because it was getting quite long. The editing process took around 20 minutes to get all the details sorted out.
