Filming Blog: Encounter

 In order to first get to our filming location, I had to come over to Ethan's house early in the morning on Saturday. I had to bring one of our prop swords  Once I got there, we waited until 1 P.M to pick up Jason so we could film together. Unfortunately, Sebastian could not come with us to film because he was sick at the time and couldn't get out the bed. Once we drove to Holiday Park, we found a secure location where no one would be in sight and begun. It started off with me just walking, to signify me monologuing. This meant that I walked in silence so we could record our voice overs later. Once my phone "rang" I picked it up and started to have a conversation with Joker, but by myself. Jason also needed to record voiceover lines for the phone call. We are planning to record them with Ethan's Iphone 13 because it has the best quality, but we forgot to record them so we will do it next time we go out. During the phone call, there will be a girl's voice saying "Drake, help me please!" This voice will come from a friend who we had record the one voiceline for us. After the phone call, I start running outside the camera in order to pick up the sword. We decided to go for a close-up shot here in order to show me grabbing it in detail. When I come back in, I'll find Joker and we exchange a few words. The speech that we said is important because it shows that we were once friends, but since Drake changed he is a traitor and deemed an enemy. After some yelling, Joker unleashed both Akira and Ren to attack me. This is where we stopped for today, because Sebastian was needed in the second part of filming. Since we couldn't do anything more we decided to just end it there. We reviewed footage of our scenes that we recorded and all of them were really good. Since all of them were fine, we drove back to his house and waited for our parents to pick us up. We plan to finish all recording by the next time we go out to film, and do all the voice overs.

Final Task

 This video took a lot out of my group. There was so much that we had to do and so many problems occured that there was nothing we could do for some of them. Even with all those issues, I honestly think that this is the best video we made yet. Although I can see the plot issues and mistakes we made, this video is the child of our hard work. This may not be the best there is, but I am proud of this video. So I think that to the viewer, instead of watching the video to judge, watch the video to enjoy. So thank you to all who helped us. Thank you group mates who I couldn't have done this without. And thank you, for enjoying the show.

 September 27th          Chad Johnson Our group that consists of Jason, Sebastian, and I will feature the Nintendo Switch and all its features. Now our commercial will start with the iconic nintendo switch intro. This is found on all of nintendo switch's commercial intros. It lasts around 2 seconds so this will not take up any filming time that we need. The next panel is where we look at the nintendo switch game menu. This menu will have to showcase to the viewer what the games you can play. In this scene, we will also be entering a game and showing small gameplay. The third scene will show us playing a game together with the screen. This scene is meant to showcase how everyone can play together at the same time. This scene can also show a game being played and what to do which is promoting both the console and the game. The Final Blog

 In our group consisting of Chad, Jason, and Sebastian, we'd say we did a great job. We have many scenes which has deviated from the original storyboard. The thing is, we created new ideas mid filming, which cause us to make a better commercial than planned. Next we have the filming, with only 2 real shots and the rest being in-game shots. These in-game shots combined with the perfect editing Jason did for each made this video great. The editing had clean transitions, music syncs, and much more than can appeal to all audiences. It almost seemed like a compilation of clips with an actual trailer to back it up. The first clips show Sebastian and Chad sitting next to each other playing their switches. This is the start of the story, as they're both playing around having a good time. The final scenes are with the Nintendo Switch being used, then put away for the day.
